A Culinary Journey from Coast to City
Spice Garden was founded in 2014 by Chef Ramesh Shetty, a third-generation cook from Udupi, Karnataka. Growing up in his family's beachside restaurant in Mangaluru, Ramesh learned the art of coastal cooking from his grandmother — slow-ground masalas, fresh coconut, and wood-fire flavours that define authentic Mangalorean cuisine.
After training at the Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA) and working at five-star kitchens across India, Ramesh returned to his roots and opened Spice Garden on MG Road, Bengaluru. Today, we serve over 100 dishes spanning Mangalorean, Kerala, Chettinad, and North Indian cuisines — all prepared with traditional recipes and the freshest ingredients.
