From 2 Tanks to 50+, A Decade of Excellence
Sri Lakshmi Aqua Farms was founded in 2015 by Srinivasa Rao Kota, a first-generation aquaculture entrepreneur with a vision to transform shrimp farming in the Nellore belt. Starting with just 2 larval rearing tanks and a small maturation unit, we have grown into one of the most trusted hatcheries in coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Today, our 10-acre facility in Mypadu houses 50+ larval rearing tanks, a state-of-the-art PCR laboratory, algae culture rooms, and a dedicated broodstock maturation center. We are fully registered with MPEDA and CAA, sourcing our SPF broodstock exclusively from OIE-certified facilities in Hawaii and Singapore.

Litopenaeus vannamei
Pacific White Shrimp (Vannamei)
Our flagship species — SPF certified, fast-growing Vannamei PL sourced from premium broodstock imported from Hawaii and Singapore. Achieves 30–40g harvest weight in 90–120 day culture cycle with excellent FCR.
Penaeus monodon
Black Tiger Prawn
Traditional Black Tiger Prawn PL for farmers targeting premium export markets. Reaches 50–80g harvest weight with superior meat quality. Ideal for extensive and semi-intensive culture systems in brackish water ponds.
Macrobrachium rosenbergii
Giant Freshwater Prawn (Scampi)
Freshwater Scampi PL for inland aquaculture farmers. Grows to 80–150g in freshwater ponds and rice-prawn integrated farming systems. Excellent diversification option with strong domestic demand across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Pure culture room maintaining Chaetoceros, Thalassiosira, and Skeletonema strains under controlled light and temperature for live feed production.
Water Treatment Plant (RO+UV)
Multi-stage water treatment with sand filtration, RO desalination, UV sterilization, and ozonation ensuring pathogen-free seawater for all tanks.
Aeration Systems
High-capacity roots blower aeration system with individual air stone distribution in every tank maintaining optimal dissolved oxygen above 5 ppm.
Backup Generators (24/7 Power)
Dual 250 KVA diesel generators with automatic changeover ensuring uninterrupted power supply critical for continuous aeration and temperature control.
Quality Testing Lab (PCR)
In-house PCR laboratory for real-time testing of WSSV, EHP, EMS/AHPND, IHHNV, and other pathogens before every batch dispatch.

SPF Certified Broodstock
All our broodstock are imported from OIE-certified SPF (Specific Pathogen Free) facilities in Hawaii and Singapore, ensuring disease-free genetic lineage.
Bio-Secure Hatchery Protocols
Strict biosecurity with foot baths, hand sanitization, restricted entry zones, treated water systems, and isolated quarantine areas for incoming broodstock.
MPEDA & CAA Compliance
Fully registered and regularly audited by MPEDA (Marine Products Export Development Authority) and CAA (Coastal Aquaculture Authority) of India.
