1. Introduction

Welcome to CloudSplit ("we," "our," or "us"). CloudSplit is developed and maintained by MDM Solutions. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application ("App").


2. Information We Collect

CloudSplit requires you to connect Google accounts to function. When you connect an account:

  • We access your Google Drive storage quota and file listing via Google Drive API v3.
  • We access your Google profile information (name, email, avatar) via Google's userinfo API.
  • OAuth2 access tokens and refresh tokens are stored securely on your device using expo-secure-store.

3. Data Storage

  • All app data (accounts, file groups, transfer history, settings) is stored locally on your device.
  • OAuth tokens are stored in your device's secure keychain/keystore.
  • **No data is sent to our servers.** CloudSplit communicates only with Google's APIs directly from your device.

4. Google Drive Access

CloudSplit uses the following Google OAuth2 scopes:

  • **drive.file**: To upload files to your Google Drive.
  • **drive.appdata**: To manage app-specific data.
  • **userinfo.email / userinfo.profile**: To display your account information.

We only upload files you explicitly select. We do not read, modify, or delete your existing Google Drive files (except files uploaded by CloudSplit).


5. Google Photos Access

CloudSplit uses the following Google Photos OAuth2 scopes:

  • **photoslibrary.readonly**: To read your Google Photos library and list media items for backup and transfer.
  • **photoslibrary.appendonly**: To upload photos and videos to your Google Photos library.

We only read your photo/video metadata and thumbnails to display them within the app. Uploads to Google Photos only occur when you explicitly initiate a transfer. We do not delete, edit, or share your Google Photos content.


6. P2P File Sharing

The P2P sharing feature operates entirely over your local Wi-Fi network. Files are transferred directly between devices using TCP connections. No data passes through any external server.


7. Third-Party Services

CloudSplit integrates with Google OAuth2, Google Drive API v3, and Google Photos Library API. No other third-party analytics, ad networks, or data brokers are used.


8. Children's Privacy

CloudSplit is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.


9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date.
